Questions we get asked.

Short answers, with links to the feature docs where there is more to say.

Plans & billing

Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, and you are not charged until it ends. Thirty days is long enough to send a net-30 invoice and see it paid before your first bill.

Which plan do I need?

Every plan creates an invoice per shipment with PO numbers, terms and payment recording. Choose by what you need on top:

  • Starter • up to 50 invoices a month.
  • Growth • unlimited invoices, packing slips, credit notes, bulk actions and Shopify Flow.
  • Pro • e-invoicing and PEPPOL, batch invoicing.
  • B2B • QuickBooks sync, payment reminders, receivables and statements.

Compare the plans in full.

What happens when I reach 50 invoices on Starter?

Invoices keep being created, and you can still open, download and send them yourself. Auto-send emails, batch delivery and automatic payment links pause until the next calendar month or until you upgrade. The Dashboard warns you when you reach 80% of the limit.

Can I change plan later?

You can upgrade at any time: open Plans in the app, choose the higher plan, and approve the new subscription in Shopify. To move to a lower plan, contact us and we'll help you switch.

How am I billed?

Through Shopify. The charge appears on your Shopify bill, monthly or annually; annual costs about 17% less. PEPPOL delivery is billed separately, per document, by the access point provider you connect.

How do I cancel?

Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. That ends the subscription. Download any invoices or exports you want to keep first — see what happens to my data.

Invoices & totals

When is an invoice created?

By default, the moment you create a fulfillment in Shopify. You can instead have one invoice per order, created when the order is placed or paid, or create invoices only by hand. See invoice triggers.

Will the invoices always add up to the order total?

Yes. The final invoice for an order is calculated as the order total minus everything already invoiced, so any rounding left over from splitting tax lands there. How the final invoice works.

How are tax, discounts and shipping split between shipments?

Tax and discounts follow the items: each invoice carries the share that belongs to the quantities in that shipment. Shipping is your choice — all on the first invoice (the default), or spread in proportion to each shipment's value. Details and an example.

I fulfilled an order and no invoice appeared. Why?

Check these in order:

  • Settings → Invoice Creation → Invoice trigger is set to When a fulfillment is created.
  • You have an active plan or trial.
  • The fulfillment was created after you installed the app. Earlier fulfillments are not invoiced retroactively.

If all three are true, report it.

What if I edit an order after invoicing part of it?

Invoices already issued don't change, and they keep the order total as it was when they were created. If you edit an order mid-way, check the final invoice's total before sending it, and get in touch if it isn't what you expect.

What if I cancel a fulfillment?

Its invoice is voided automatically, unless it has already been paid. The invoice's timeline records the reason.

Why didn't an overdue invoice get a reminder?
